Founded in 1996, Spatial Dynamics has a long history in development of innovative GIS applications. We are a privately owned Idaho corporation, based in Boise, dedicated to providing professional GIS services to public and private clients.

The principals of the firm hold advanced degrees in geography, and offer more than 40 years of combined experience in design, development, and implementation of GIS analysis and remote sensing applications. The principals have worked together on GIS and Remote Sensing project since the mid-1980s. Spatial Dynamics employ twelve full-time professionals educated in GIS applications and spatial analysis, who offer extensive experience in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Our mission is to provide high-quality GIS services in a timely manner, using industry-leading hardware and software. GIS processing at Spatial Dynamics is based on Arc/INFO software and its associated modules and extensions, including ArcView and ArcIMS, developed by Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI). With the advent of ArcView, we have developed considerable expertise with Avenue, and are now using Visual Basic, Java, HTML and XML to support development of custom Internet map server applications. Spatial Dynamics is an ESRI Business Partner.

We maintain three Windows 2000 servers and fifteen Windows XP workstations, coupled with a wide range of peripheral devices for data capture (including a Trimble Pathfinder PRO-XRS GPS unit), data transfer, and graphic output. We operate a Windows 2000 network with nearly 1500 gigabytes of on-line disk storage, backed up daily by a 2.1-terabyte backup server. High-speed continuous DSL Internet access allows easy transfer of large files and support of real-time e mail communications as well as on line access to the ArcIMS server.

We also maintain software and hardware tools for high-quality cartographic production as well as 3 dimensional simulations and visualizations.
